The knife has always been not only a tool but also a weapon. The history of combat knives is therefore very long. Currently, this function is mainly applied in the state forces, such as the army and the police. For these purposes, the knife is mainly valued for its durability and efficiency, aesthetic aspects do not play a big role for obvious reasons. The blade shape and cut of combat knives are designed primarily with stabbing in mind. Cutting power does not play such a role, so the cut of a combat knife is usually low to maintain the strength of the knife and the durability of the blade.
