Description
Mammoth teeth (molars) stabilised with resin are an exclusive material made from real fossils. Each piece has an original appearance and will give a luxurious knife a unique character. It is a very durable and hard material that requires careful processing.
Stabilised mammoth teeth plates are suitable for making knife handle scales. The scales are sold in pairs of two mirror-image plates. Prices are listed per pair.
Processing instructions: this is a composite material consisting of a very hard component (dentine) and a binder. It can be ground with a high-quality abrasive using lower speeds to avoid burning the binder. Machining is possible using sharp carbide tools. Low pressure is suitable when drilling so that the drilling tool does not bend in the inhomogeneous material.
Order a specific pair according to the numbers in the picture. Make your choice by selecting from the drop-down menu. The numbers that are missing from the list have already been sold.
The dimensions of one plate are approximately 103 x 46 x 8 mm and 130 x 45 x 10 mm (2 variants). The size of the plates in a pair may vary slightly.
