Description
The KPro Santoku kitchen knife is a Japanese-style universal knife. Its name translates to “three virtues”. This designation refers to its excellent ability to handle three basic activities: slicing, chopping and crushing, especially against a solid surface.
The blade is made of N690 stainless steel, cryogenic heat treatment. The blade thickness is only 2.4 mm, which is why the knife has excellent cutting properties.
The knife has a tang design. This means that the blade continues with a tang that is hidden inside the handle. The handle is completely closed except for the place where the blade is inserted. There is a protective ring made of patinated brass in front.
Compared to KF knives, KPro knives have a more massive handle.
The possibility of moisture penetrating the knife structure is significantly limited in this design compared to the full tang design. This is an especially important feature for kitchen knives.
The blade is secured in the handle with a cross pin. The handle is made of stabilized Karelian birch. The handle is round. The pins in the handle are made of brass.
