Description
Exotic wood Bayur (Pterospermum javanicum) comes from an Asian tree found mainly in monsoon areas (Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, Borneo). It has medium hard, very durable dense and oily wood. It is used to make furniture.
The color of the wood is reddish-brown to black, the burls are characterised by an eyelet or target pattern. Bauyr wood is used to make decorative objects and handles.
The dimensions of the block are approximately 150 x 50 x 30 mm with a tolerance of +/- 3 mm, the wood is dry. Since it is a burl, there may be small voids inside the block, which can be easily sealed with a putty of wood dust and super glue.
Order specific pieces according to the numbers in the picture. Pictures A and B correspond to the front and back of the blocks. Mark your choice in the drop-down menu. Numbers that are missing from the menu are no longer available.
