Buffalo horn – scales
Description
Buffalo horn suitable for handles scales or knife handle inserts (mandrel construction). The dimensions of the slice are 128x38x9 mm (with a tolerance of +/- 1 mm).
The natural color is dark brown to black, some pieces are white to cream variegated. The horn can also be stained in color. All sides are polished, or a decorative structure is milled into the front side.
After processing, the surface can be polished to a high shine.
This is a strong and stable natural material with possible irregularities. It is excellently processed, yet very durable. When processing, it is necessary to pay attention to the low speed of the tool so that the material does not start to burn.
