Description
The Rezzie bowie knife is inspired by the original shape designed in the mid-19th century by Rezin Bowie for his brother James. Similar to the original shape, the Rezzie also has a lowered and upturned tip. The guard is ground from steel and its upper part is shorter than the original to better meet today’s needs.
The knife blade is a Damascus sandwich 1.2842 on the core and 1.2842/75Ni8 on the sides. Core hardness is 59.7.
The construction of the knife is on a continuous tang with a locking nut covered with a plug made of cocobolo wood. The handle is made of selected Turkish walnut impregnated with natural oils. Behind the guard is a decorative ring made from a stabilized mammoth stool. The guard is made of massive structural steel.
The knife is equipped with a leather sheath made of beef in a classic cut, secured with a strap over the handle for a saddle pin. The wide loop is used to attach to a belt. The case is decorated with an embossing with the symbolism of the phases of the moon.
